Volquartsen Firearms was started in 1974 by Tom Volquartsen initially focusing on gunsmithing until around 1991. In 1991, Tom pivoted over to rimfire, laying the foundation of the company you know today, building world class rimfire rifles and pistols. As rimfire enthusiasts ourselves, we’ve always respected and looked to Volquartsen as the gold standard and are extremely excited for this collaboration.

The Volquartsen Summit and Grey Birch LDR just had a love child……and it’s beautiful.
The new LDR Summit rifle will use the VQ Summit receiver and bolt action, paired with the Grey Birch threaded barrel Fusion system, housed in the LaChassis stock system.
SO WHAT IS THE FUSION?
Simply, it's the merging of the receiver and barrel into one single unit.
We achieve this by threading the barrel directly into the receiver instead of the traditional barrel placement using a v-block or grub screw.

Ice cream empires have been built upon the premise of 31 flavours. It just reinforces, who doesn't love options?! One of the best features of the Fusion is its versatility. We've had great success dropping it into many of the best stocks and chassis in the game, including our own La Chassis 10/22.
THE FINE PRINT
The Fusion Receiver System is a proprietary receiver and barrel system to Grey Birch MFG and will come fully assembled from the factory.
The Fusion System is assembled with job specific tools to ensure proper fitment and to ensure the correct headspace.
Removing the barrel will likely result in damage to the components and will void warranty on your Fusion.
The Fusion Receiver System is compatible with most 10/22® accessories.
Some minimal modification to the stock may be required in some cases.
